FYI: There is a second candidate for the Green Party nomination for the US Senate seat being vacated by Wayne Allard. Very exciting - maybe we will have a statewide primary if both get at least 30% of the votes at the state nominating convention May 3 in metro Denver.
Should we invite Buddy Moore up to our next meeting? Invite both he and Bob? Hold a public forum where both of them can present their viewpoints? We need your input.

Greetings!
I am contacting you on behalf of the Buddy Moore for Senate campaign. I
am Anne Moore, daughter and campaign manager extraordinaire. Buddy Moore
is new to the Green party and is seeking it's nomination for the US
Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Wayne Allard. This is a
friendly letter to officially introduce Buddy to the Green community and
also to officially announce his candidacy.
As a life long Independent voter Buddy was recently inspired to join the
Democratic Party in support of Dennis Kucinich. While a member of the
Democrats he openly experimented with the political avenues offered by
the Democrats, surely a party that counts Dennis Kucinich among their
numbers could facilitate a progressive campaign such as his. But it was
the same old story, the party was less than supportive of a progressive
movement, and even more, the core values of the party did not resonate
with his platform or his beliefs. He was once again searching for a
party that could be reflective of his views of democracy, justice and
truth. How could he have missed the Green Party? A moment of sheer
relief and excitement overcame this campaign while the party platform of
the Greens was reveled-a true match! Buddy is thrilled to have found a
party where the foundations of the platform align with his own!
Originally from Wyoming, Buddy began his love affair with the state of
Colorado in 1981. He is working man having served Coloradoans as a ski
patrolman, a contract painter, a snow cat driver and a good natured
citizen. He viewed the political storm weathered by this country
following the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks from foreign shores while on
a ski patrol exchange in Courchevel, France. Watching America's
reputation in the international community free-fall inspired Buddy's
Senatorial calling. While this initial call to action did not manifest
itself in the form of a political aspiration, eventually Buddy came to
see that our Senators and Congressmen are accountable to us, and
therefore must be reinvigorated with new representatives of peace, truth
and justice.
Bob Kinsey is also seeking the nomination of the Green Party for the
same Senatorial seat. I believe that a truly exciting time is embarking
on the Green Party, never has a minor party held a primary for a
political race. Democracy is the free flow of ideas-how better to show
the state of Colorado and the nation the true nature of Green concepts
than with two voices instead of one? There are issues that need to be on
the table, issues that a Green movement can bring to the forefront.
Through his campaign Buddy seeks to identify with the people of Colorado
on all levels. As a life long athlete his campaign will revolve around
road bike tours of the entire state coordinated with local bike shops.
With a 1981 Blue Bird bus as a chase vehicle and rolling headquarters
all-in-one, Buddy's campaign will take this state by storm. His campaign
will include local rallies, events and races centered on local and
national issues. Ride the Rockies will also be a part of the state-wide
campaign. He intends to show the people of Colorado that because he is
reflective of them, he is the man to represent them in the US Senate.
Buddy has and will continue to confront the Republicans and the
Democrats on the issues of the war, the attacks of 9/11, renewable
energy, single payer not for profit health care, immigration and the
rest of the issues that they are blatantly ignoring.
So now I ask you to indulge Buddy with your company. Please allow him to
come to one of your meetings and introduce himself in person to the
members of your chapter. We seek an invitation to come and make a formal
introduction and have a question and answer session with your group at
your next meeting. Please contact me with information regarding dates,
times and space availability.
Please check out Buddy's website: http://www.BuddyMooreForSenate.com for
his stance on the issues, more bio info and to read his daily blog-
where the issues are discussed daily right from the horse's mouth.
Looking forward to meeting you,
Anne Moore
Campaign Manager
