This is a positive piece of information about Udall which could become a
point of contention for the Kinsey campaign.
Sandy
Colorado Congressman Mark Udall has renewed efforts to protect consumers
from high interest rates and unjustified fees on their credit cards. The
Credit Cardholders Bill of Rights is sponsored by Democratic
Representative Carolyn Maloney of New York. It includes many provisions
of a bill that Udall first introduced in 2006 - and again earlier this
year
It includes protection from arbitrary interest rate increases, it
prevents cardholders who pay on time from being unfairly penalized - it
bars excessive fees and require more fairness in the way payments are
handled
The medium amount of credit card debt carried by Americans is 66-hundred
dollars and the average debt load excluding mortgage debt - is close to
10-thousand dollars. House Resolution 5244 has co-sponsors from 39
congressional districts around the country and the support of many
consumer groups.
