We have $645.86 total assets for the PV Greens.

We need to decide how much to spend and how to do outreach.

Eric Fried suggests, and I agree, that we should not charge admission,
but could ask for donations. If Rob can be flexible, we could order a
certain amount of food and ask for more during the event if we need it.

If we ordered food for 20 people initially, that would cost $120. With
the room rental, it comes to $170 total. I think that's a reasonable
amount to spend. My guess is that, if more people come, the additional
expense is likely to be offset by donations. Even if not, an additional
10 paid meals would bring our total outlay to $230, which I think is a
very reasonable allocation of funds.

20 to 40 people would make for a highly successful event in my view.

OUTREACH: We may be able to get some PSA's on the radio and for sure we
could get items in the 3 local papers (4, including the Collegian). We
can get an announcement on the CJPE large email list, on the Uproot email
list, on the FoodNotBombs email list, also possibly the Sierra Club local
email list, and we could do some flyers.

I think the idea of the PV Greens hosting a Solstice Event for the
progressive community would be a great way to connect us. Historically,
one of the problems of the Greens has been our isolation from the
progressive community as a whole.

Additionally, we met a number of people at the Sustainable Living Far who
were told that this party will be happening and were very interested. We
have contact information for these people and they will get personal
invites.

Please all respond with your thoughts. I would like to get back to Rob by
Sunday night if possible.

Thanks, Sandy
